Diana Blakeman, image consultant and personal stylist at House of Colour, covering Salisbury, advises how to wear coral make-up to reflect the Pantone Colour of the Year.

The Pantone Colour Institute has announced its colour of 2019 is living coral, a warm, vibrant shade. As with many different colours, it won't suit all skin tones. Coral is a warm, yellow-based pink shade so will best suit brides with yellow pigment, known as a warm skin tone. Those with blue pigment (known as a cool skin tone) will need to consider a different colour. Wearing the correct shade for your skin is essential to looking brighter, fresher and younger.

Coral lipstick looks fantastic, especially in the summer, and can be worn glossy or matte. Coral blusher is a great way to add a hint of the shade, and for those a little less adventurous, a bright coral nail colour is a great way to incorporate it in to your big-day look. Coral can work beautifully for members of the bridal party too because it doesn't dominate, making it the perfect hue to accentuate other colours. It teams well with all warm neutrals, including Dulux colour of the year spiced honey, grey, beige, khaki, dark olive and brown.
