The team at Daylesford Organic are presented with the Tiptree World Bread Awards Daylesford Organic are delighted to announce that their head baker, Michael Engler, was recently named a winner at the Tiptree World Bread Awards with Brook Food. The awards are hailed as the UK's leading celebration of the art of bread-baking, where stars of the industry gather together annually for a much-anticipated prize ceremony.

Michael's much loved Organic Fruit Bread was voted the winner by Stephen Hallam, chair of the judges, in the awards' Fruit category. A well-deserved win, the loaf is one of Daylesford Organic's most popular products, densely packed with delicious apricots, raisins and walnuts.

As one of the most pioneering and sustainable farms in the UK for more than 40 years, Daylesford Organic prides itself on providing responsible and mindfully made produce, always in line with its ethical and environmental standards. Pouring these values into everything they do, Daylesford Organic is thrilled that the love with which Michael makes his bread has brought it out on top. The Daylesford Organic Sourdough also received a Gold Award within its category, as well as the decadent Chocolate Sourdough which achieved a Bronze Award.

Scott Goodfellow, a judge at the awards commented: "The standard of loaves submitted was very high, reflecting the excellent quality of the UK bread industry," while Stephen Hallam praised the "skill and passion for baking good bread here in the UK." Coming up against just under 500 loaves submitted to the awards from around the UK, Michael's success is certainly one worth celebrating.
