Daylesford Organic announces dates for Wine Flight Suppers

Daylesford Organic has opened its new wine shop, The Wine Stall. Located at Daylesford Farm in Kingham, the Cotswolds, the new store is a one-stop-shop offering expert advice from Daylesford's team of specialists plus a collection of carefully curated wines from international producers including Rothschild wines from Bordeaux. In addition, lesser-known vineyards will be showcased in the collection, for example, Montlouis and the Loire Valley. Daylesford's wine experts will host daily drop-in tastings to share advice and insights on the range. Further events will take place throughout the year with a focus on seasonal wines and food pairings including Wine Flight Suppers hosted at Daylesford Farm's Trough & Legbar restaurant. Running on 12th August, 18th and 25th November, the suppers will showcase the best ingredients in season paired with curated wines from The Wine Stall. Monthly wine evenings will take place on the first Friday of every month to celebrate a curated range of the best vineyards, vignerons and wine estates from across the globe. The store will also offer private and bespoke tastings upon request.

Mermaid Gin expands its delicious range

The Isle of Wight Distillery has launched Mermaid Zest Gin, a limited-edition, smooth and refreshing grapefruit and gentle juniper London Dry Gin. Mermaid Zest Gin is the fourth addition to the sustainable range which includes Mermaid Gin, Mermaid Pink Gin and Mermaid Salt Vodka. Mermaid Zest Gin is produced in Seaview at the Isle of Wight Distillery, the first and only distillery on the island. Mermaid spirits are shaped by the distillery's stunning surroundings and the unique character of the Isle of Wight, all whilst minimising waste using ethically sourced and often locally sourced ingredients to hand-craft a range of smooth yet complex spirits with a hint of sea air, and the new gin is produced in harmony with the Island's coastal elements, using foraged rock samphire and rosemary.

Wiltshire-based Caroline's Little Kitchen serves new fillings

Caroline's Little Kitchen based in Wiltshire is a mobile vintage Citroen H van lovingly named Hugo serving fresh handmade sweet and savoury crêpes which make a great alternative to the traditional wedding cake (not to mention a fab photographic backdrop!) New sweet fillings on the menu include biscoff spread with milk chocolate and marshmallows and biscoff biscuit with banana, fudge and salted caramel sauce, plus the popular apple and blackberry crêpe served with brown sugar and cinnamon.
