Daylesford Organic announces dates for Wine Flight Suppers

Daylesford Organic has opened its new wine shop, The Wine Stall. Located at Daylesford Farm in Kingham, the Cotswolds, the new store is a one-stop-shop offering expert advice from Daylesford's team of specialists plus a collection of carefully curated wines from international producers including Rothschild wines from Bordeaux. In addition, lesser-known vineyards will be showcased in the collection, for example, Montlouis and the Loire Valley. Daylesford's wine experts will host daily drop-in tastings to share advice and insights on the range. Further events will take place throughout the year with a focus on seasonal wines and food pairings including Wine Flight Suppers hosted at Daylesford Farm's Trough & Legbar restaurant. Running on 12th August, 18th and 25th November, the suppers will showcase the best ingredients in season paired with curated wines from The Wine Stall. Monthly wine evenings will take place on the first Friday of every month to celebrate a curated range of the best vineyards, vignerons and wine estates from across the globe. The store will also offer private and bespoke tastings upon request.

The Isle of Wight Distillery has launched Mermaid Zest Gin, a limited-edition, smooth and refreshing grapefruit and gentle juniper London Dry Gin. Mermaid Zest Gin is the fourth addition to the sustainable range which includes Mermaid Gin, Mermaid Pink Gin and Mermaid Salt Vodka. Mermaid Zest Gin is produced in Seaview at the Isle of Wight Distillery, the first and only distillery on the island. Mermaid spirits are shaped by the distillery's stunning surroundings and the unique character of the Isle of Wight, all whilst minimising waste using ethically sourced and often locally sourced ingredients to hand-craft a range of smooth yet complex spirits with a hint of sea air, and the new gin is produced in harmony with the Island's coastal elements, using foraged rock samphire and rosemary.

Daylesford launches first UK-made organic gin and vodka

Sustainable farming and retailing experts, Daylesford Organic based in Gloucestershire, has launched a collection of new drinks including the first organic tonic water to be manufactured in the UK and a new organic gin and vodka, featuring a label with a vibrant, bespoke design by artist Hugo Guinness. Perfect for weddings, the Daylesford Organic Tonic Waters are available in four flavours (Light, Cucumber, Wild Elderflower and Damascena Rose) and each is mixed with dandelion instead of quinine to keep the product organic and offer an earthy aroma and bittersweet taste.

New fizz on the block - from Wiltshire restaurant

Sprigster Drinks, creators of the award-winning shrub-infusion from Pythouse Kitchen Garden in Wiltshire, have announced they will be launching Sprigster Fizz this summer, a delicious non-alcoholic alternative to Champagne and sparkling wine, or a welcome addition to cocktails to create lower-abv drinks. Like the original botanical liquor, Sprigster Fizz has been crafted from ingredients that can be found in abundance in the classic English garden at Pythouse Kitchen Garden. The base of the drink is made from a slow-cooked grain vinegar mash of English hops, rhubarb, ginger and fennel seeds, that is gently infused for several weeks, allowing the botanicals to marry together. To create the fizz, a gooseberry reduction and local spring water is added before carbonation, resulting in a complex, delightfully dry and refreshing celebratory drink.
