Engaged couples are invited to a wedding showcase at new Oxfordshire wedding venue Nuneham Estate, Nuneham Courtenay, on July 31 and August 1. Husk Marquees are hosting the event that will feature some of the county's leading wedding suppliers including Options Great Hire, Elizabeth Weddings, Dolce Lusso Cakes and Sundown Signs who'll be available to answer any questions. The wedding fair will help couples get an idea of what their special day could look like, from the cake to the photography and wedding stationery.
Nuneham Estate is located five miles south of Oxford, on the banks of the River Thames. The estate encompasses more than 1,000 acres of land, a Grade II Listed Palladian Mansion, a Grade I registered park and gardens landscaped by Capability Brown.
Husk Marquees, based in Henley-on-Thames, offer a new product called a Cruck Tent. Based on a medieval cruck frame that has been redesigned for modern use, these structures give each wedding a rustic feel. They feature bare Douglas fir beams and panoramic gable windows. The company was set up by entrepreneur Harry Saunders who has worked in the wedding and events industry for a number of years. Harry realised there was an opportunity to offer couples something special for their wedding day and when the pandemic hit, he decided it was time to make the vision a reality. He tells us, "I'm incredibly excited to welcome couples to come and view our stunning new marquees at a brand new wedding venue."
