Donna McCahill is the owner of Gloucestershire-based bridal boutique Posy & Pearl stocking designer bridal gowns, bridesmaids' dresses, occasion wear and pretty flowergirl designs, plus a collection of beautiful bespoke bridal headpieces and jewellery for all the female bridal party that are handmade on-site.
With the news announced this week that restrictions on weddings are finally lifting, we catch up with her about shopping for the perfect bridal dress for an intimate outdoor ceremony this summer. Donna tells us, "For an intimate outdoor wedding, something informal would work perfectly like a boho-style dress with simple spaghetti straps or a soft, floaty A-line gown with a short train. Consider a design with a pastel undertone, for example, rose or blush, topped with a soft layering of delicate ivory lace. With the uncertainty of the great British weather, you could opt for an overlay that can be removed like a lace bolero that's still delicate and informal but adds an extra layer for warmth."
