April/May 2020

April/May 2020

Even though we are in a period of lockdown, it's finally spring and the flowers are budding, the sun is shining, and the days are warming up. I am heading out into the park and along the seafront, close to my home, to take some daily exercise and enjoy these simple pleasures for myself. I am not rushing, or driving as I would normally be at the time of day I have been taking my stroll, instead stopping to photograph the pink blossom on the trees (my favourite colour) and marvel at the Insta-worthy blue sea (I'm a pisces so have always loved being near water).

If you're planning your wedding for later this year, I hope you, too, are taking some time out to enjoy life's simple pleasures, like having more time to plan your day to perfection.

Until next issue...

Eastwood Park

This traditional English country house enjoys a secluded location within 200 acres of woodland, meadows, and fields. Accessed via a long sweeping drive, it offers 70 stylish bedrooms, an outdoor terrace with views stretching across the Berkeley Vale, and a pretty courtyard featuring an 18th-century clock tower.

Ceremonies take place in the Eastwood Drawing Room for up to 100 guests, showcasing floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the formal gardens. Its neutral colour scheme provides a blank canvas for many different wedding themes and it’s situated on the ground floor with easy access. More intimate affairs take place in the study for 20 guests.

The wedding breakfast and reception is hosted in the Eastwood Terrace, a large elegant room seating up to 100 loved ones and accommodating up to 180 for the evening. Doors open on to the large outdoor terrace that’s a great spot for a drinks reception or an evening barbecue.
