She tells us, "During the winter, because of the cold air outside and central heating indoors, our hair and skin can start to feel dehydrated and lacking in moisture. When it comes to your hair, keep the water at a reasonable temperature when you're showering because if it's too hot, it can remove the moisture from your scalp resulting in flaky skin. Treat your locks to a conditioning treatment once or twice a week will lock in the moisture so that your hair looks healthy and glossy. South West-based make-up artist Heather Card talks brows

Heather Card is a fully insured, professional make-up artist specialising in airbrush make-up covering weddings across the South West. We catch up with her to hear her tips about achieving the perfect brow. She tells us, "I tend to recommend natural, refined and defined brows for my brides. They always need attention as part of the make-up application because some are naturally desirable and may only require a tidy up and a bit of powder to define them while others may be sparse, narrow or too thin. There are many good-quality brow products on the market. I like to use Brow Blade in taupe by Urban Decay which is a pencil and ink that are both waterproof. I also like to work with Brow Zings by Benefit which is a gel and powder. I recommend using a brow powder because it's easy to apply and you're less likely to make a mistake.

It looks great pinned into a low, seamless ponytail with loosely curled strands left at the front to frame the face.
