Paxton launch new Artisan Advent Cheese Calendar 2021

A first for Paxton & Whitfield, this Artisan Advent Cheese Calendar (£150 with free UK delivery) is the ultimate foodie advent calendar for 2021. The cheesemongers have carefully selected 24 artisan varieties for a delicious tasting journey - one cheese per day to savour in the run-up to Christmas Day.

Dan Bliss, the cheese buyer for Paxton & Whitfield, says: "We'd wanted to create an advent cheese calendar for some time, but we wanted to make sure that we could make one that gave customers the best cheese and Paxton & Whitfield experience possible. After a lot of deep thought and experimentation, we think we've hit the right note for 2021."

He continues, "This is an immersive cheese tasting and learning experience – each individually numbered advent box contains a factsheet on the inside with more information about the cheese, its maker and pairing or recipe ideas. Each Paxton & Whitfield advent box is beautifully presented and fully recyclable, with shredded paper inside and a minimum 75g cut of cheese, hand-wrapped in Paxton & Whitfield wax paper. The cheeses are portioned pieces as the perfect daily amount to enjoy yourself, but also a large enough taster to share if you want to!"

Customers will receive three fresh deliveries of eight hand-cut and hand-wrapped, advent artisan cheese boxes this December. The cheese boxes are packaged with 100% sheep's wool insulation and reusable icepacks and sent on an overnight, carbon-neutral delivery service for an impressive and fresh arrival.

This carefully curated cheese advent calendar will feature festive classics such as Gruyere and Stilton, as well as more unusual cheeses from artisan British and European cheesemakers. Lucky recipients will taste and learn about award-winning cheesemakers including Village Maid, Mrs Kirkhams Lancashire Cheese and Montgomerys Cheddar. Customers will also have the option to view each of the included cheeses via a spoiler link on the website or keep these a complete surprise if they prefer!
