De Vere launches new Smart meeting products to support flexible working patterns

Stately home

De Vere, a collection of historic mansion house estates and distinctive contemporary hotels and event destinations, has launched two new products, Smart Booker, a new integrated meetings and events booking engine on its website and Smart Base, which offers remote working spaces at its venues.

Smart Booker is a cloud-based meetings and events booking platform, powered by MeetingPackage, now available across De Vere's properties* after initially launching at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms, located in London's West End, in May 2021. Smart Booker enables a more efficient online bookings whilst providing live availability and dynamic pricing of event spaces. It allows event planners to; see real-time room availability across a number of properties; search, filter, and book event spaces in one simple process; and book meetings on the go as the system will be fully mobile optimised.

Smart Base offers a smarter way to meet the needs of today's flexible work patterns, ideal for those working from home who would like a change of scenery, or for employers who are looking for an inspiring location to use as a co-working space. Smart Base is available to book via Smart Booker and allows guests to select a flexible working space in their preferred location and a time to suit their working patterns with the option to add snacks, a grab & go lunch, or a working lunch, with De Vere's restaurants providing nutritionally balanced dishes packed with flavour and seasonal ingredients.

During their visit, guests will receive unlimited refreshments, including sustainably sourced fresh coffee and superfast Wi-Fi, which stretches up to a 100m perimeter around each property so you can stay connected even on each property's extensive grounds.

The new Smart services are now available across De Vere’s estates and mansion house properties including De Vere Latimer Estate in Buckinghamshire, De Vere Cotswold Water ParkDe Vere Wokefield Estate near Reading, De Vere Tortworth Court near Bristol and De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor.

Alan Corlett, Chief Commercial Officer at De Vere commented: “We understand business priorities have changed over the last year, so we are delighted to launch two new products which have been designed with flexibility in mind. Smart Booker allows greater flexibility for our bookers with sight of real-time availability and by allowing meeting space to be secured online, as well as opening another channel for which they can communicate directly with individual hotel teams."

He continues, “Smart Base caters for everything from those working from home who want a change of scenery with less distractions or just need a desk for the day, to business-owners looking for less traditional, flexible working environment for their teams. Our flexible booking, cancellation and refund policies also means we can allow greater flexibility for our bookers in case their plans change.”

De Vere’s properties offer plenty of outdoor space for guests to explore and help clear the mind in between meetings with onsite jogging trails and walking routes, including De Vere’s Strava routes. At De Vere Wokefield Estate, guests can also bring their canine companions as the property has partnered with local company Pets, Homes and Gardens, allowing guests to leave their dogs in safe hands with a dog walker and sitter on site at the hotel while they work.

Whilst De Vere properties are surrounded by acres of green space, parkland, and beautiful countryside, they’re also impeccably connected. Whether you are travelling by road, rail or air, the properties provide easy access to major motorways, railway stations and airports. They also benefit from plenty of on-site parking, and with selected properties offering electric charging points at some of our properties.
