The resurgence of traditional weddings at Ascot Racecourse

World-renowned Ascot Racecourse has launched a series of traditional wedding packages as it welcomes back couples for weddings. The iconic racing venue will be hosting small weddings for up to 30 guests, and larger traditional weddings for up to 1,200 guests from 21st June 2021, subject to the current government guidelines.

Home to Royal Ascot, the venue echoes regal and refined undertones throughout its 179-acres that offer elegance, history and an inescapable sense of occasion. A venue made famous as a hub of world-class horse racing, Ascot Racecourse maintains its sense of grandeur year-round, enabling the venue to host all manner of styles and wedding themes.

From small micro weddings to large, lavish banquets, Ascot’s sheer size, variety and flexibility means endless opportunity when it comes to creating a truly bespoke occasion. Whatever a couple’s concept, Ascot can materialise the vision into a show-stopping reality. With extensive experience, the team prioritises safety and comfort for a seamless event, without compromising the overall elegant tone of the occasion.

Just a seven-minute walk from Ascot’s mainline station and with extensive private car parking, guests from Berkshire and all over the UK (including neighbouring counties Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Buckinghamshire) are welcomed to the legendary venue in the heart of the home counties by the site of its iconic Grandstand. A sweeping walkway past the Victorian Bandstand guides guests to the Parade Ring, an atmospheric spot for welcome drinks in the summer sunshine. Inside, a wide variety of wedding suites, with both contemporary and traditional décor, can be easily transformed to provide classic layouts for dinner, cabaret and dancing, or more informal settings for buffets and lounge-style receptions.

Award-winning catering that promises to tantalise tastebuds is offered by Events at Ascot’s hospitality partner, 1711 by Ascot. Whether a sumptuous buffet, a seated dinner, a tempting array of bowl food, outdoor barbecues or the popular chef’s stations, couples can expect a bespoke culinary experience. Beyond the tradition of wedding food, additional appetisers, sweet carts or mixologists can be explored, while all dietary requirements will be accounted for. The team proudly uses sustainable, fresh and local produce, or sourced from trusted suppliers.

The three wedding packages are called Rose, Silk Orchid, and Champagne Peony – each come with iconic Ascot features, from a 'Bowler Hat’ welcome for guests, to an invitation for all couples to return to the racecourse to celebrate their first anniversary at an Ascot Raceday.

Events at Ascot is now taking bookings for weddings, with limited availability for summer 2021.
