Holly Elphick is the owner of Project Cakery (formerly Claire's Kitchen). She's a wedding and celebration cake designer, specialising in buttercream commissions based in South Cerney (near Cirencester). As we celebrate the return of weddings. Holly has unveiled some mouth-watering designs, perfect for micro celebrations. She tells us, "Cupcakes are a great choice for a small wedding and they double up as favours while a tall statement cake will provide the wow-factor at any wedding large or small."
Holly adds, "My three-tier cream and red floral wedding cake features two dummy tiers with the real one (that gets cut) placed on top. This is something that most of my clients planning micro weddings are deciding on because it offers the desired effect without wastage. There's also my semi-naked, bright floral cake decorated with gold leaf that's designed with micro weddings in mind. It's classy and minimalist and best suits a spring theme."
