1853 Restaurant & Bar at De Vere Tortworth Court located in Wotton-under-Edge in Gloucestershire is offering guests 50 per cent off food every Monday to Wednesday throughout August as part of the government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme.
1853 Restaurant & Bar can be found in the old Library and maintains many of its original features including oak-panelling, ornate archways, and a grand fireplace with views out across the pretty gardens. Guests can enjoy the best of British produce with dishes including roasted pork belly with black pudding, roasted fillet of hake with cassoulet and a trio of English cheeses. The wine list brings together some modern newcomers and firm-favourites, whilst also offering some pairing recommendations.
Situated within 30-acres of stunning Gloucestershire parkland, De Vere Tortworth Court is a Grade II listed Mansion House hotel, which effortlessly combines original Victorian features with 21st-century style and comfort. After a relaxing lunch or dinner, guests can take a walk around the estate grounds which boast one of Britain's finest arboretums housing over 300 plant and tree specimens. It's also a magnificent wedding venue for both the ceremony and reception.
To ensure a healthy visit for guests and a safe working environment for its team members, De Vere has launched its Wellbeing at Heart programme. With the support of ChemEco, De Vere has carefully crafted a range of new measures, from enhancing the already meticulous deep cleaning of bedrooms, restaurants, and bars to thoughtful physical distancing measures inside and outside the hotels. This includes regularly sanitising public areas using jet action misting technology which uses hard acting yet environmentally friendly solutions from ChemEco.
