Bridal hair specialist Suzanne Hale located in Gloucester reveals her tips for getting hair summer-ready

Bridal hair specialist Suzanne Hale located in Gloucester reveals her tips for getting hair summer-ready: Image 1 With the longer evenings just around the corner and summer almost on the way, bridal hair specialist Suzanne Hale located in Gloucester reveals her tips for getting hair summer-ready.

She says, "start preparing your hair with regular trims every eight to 12 weeks and treat yourself to some good quality professional products to get your hair in good shape. If you're having a colour applied, I would recommend having it done two weeks prior to the date of the wedding. If you aren't having a colour then consider a semi-gloss to give your locks extra shine.

Once you have chosen your wedding dress, you can think about your hair trial and I would recommend having this three to four months before the wedding date. Remember to take any hair accessories and a veil with you (if you're wearing one) along with a photograph of your dress. It's important to leave the hair trial feeling confident that you have chosen the right style for you. If you're not sure then don't be afraid to ask for another trial – this is why it's a good idea to start the process a few months before. This meeting is also a good time to discuss hair styles for your bridesmaids and mother-of-the-bride if needed, and make a timeline for the day. It's a good idea to request that you hair stylist contacts your make-up artist to help work out a schedule.

Additional treatments that I would recommend depending on your hair type are clip-in extensions, tape extensions, and a semi-permanent Kerastraight treatment that helps to straighten and repair hair."
