Sally Pickles, managing director of award-winning company Vanilla Catering & Events, has teamed up with The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum located in Salisbury, Wiltshire to launch Walled Garden Weddings, a new venue in the heart of this historic Cathedral city.
The Walled Garden is a secret hideaway set in more than half an acre of tranquil grounds located to the rear of the museum in the serene setting of Cathedral Close. It's a private spot leading down to the banks of the River Avon that can guarantee exclusive use and boasts an idyllic photographic backdrop.
Wedding receptions take place in a large marquee accommodating up to 150 guests. Smaller numbers are welcome and the space lends itself to different entertaining options, from rustic sharing platters to drinks served on the lawn. Due to the partnership with Vanilla Catering & Events, the marquee and furniture hire, and catering services, must all be arranged through them.
Smaller receptions can be held in the Regimental Room, with its stunning views of the Cathedral spire, that can accommodate up to 50 guests for a buffet lunch, or 36 loved ones for a seated dinner. Room hire, including the provision of tables and chairs, is included in the quotation available from Vanilla Catering & Events.
