Luxury Family Hotels launch Waggy Tails Tea Time and A La Bark menu
Luxury Family Hotels are pleased to announce the launch of their new Waggy Tails...
Luxury treehouse The Hudnalls Hideout is set to open late November 2019 in partnership with MADE.COM
It's the first of its kind in the UK - an A-frame treehouse perched in a canopy with instagrammable interiors, an outdoor copper bath and treetop views.
The retreat is to open deep in the heart of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Gloucestershire.
Located in two acres of private woodland at St Briavels Common, it will offer guests a generous 38 square metres of open plan living space, suspended almost four metres above the ground on the hillside above The Hudnalls Woods looking towards Whitebrook, Redbrook and Monmouth beyond.
Accommodation is on two levels with tree top canopy views from the king size handmade loft bed taking centre stage in the mezzanine bedroom, which is reached via an impressive sweeping hand-carved staircase fashioned around an oak tree from the woodland itself. The lower level living space below features a retro suspended fireplace.
The insta-worthy interiors were designed in partnership with online design brand, MADE.COM and includes some of MADE’s most popular design pieces to inspire guests to recreate a piece of this secluded hideaway at home.
The project is the long term dream of owners, Ade and Sarah Orchard, who moved to the Wye Valley in 2017 set on building their glamping dream, a North American styled ‘cabin in the woods.’
The A-frame structure is encircled by a raised deck with a fun swing seat below close to the outdoor firepit. On top of the deck sits a screened deep copper bateau style bath for two, ideal for star gazing soaks. This adults-only retreat is a perched paradise.
Nature surrounds, be it the hooting owls by night or the busy woodpeckers and squirrels by day. Guests will be sleeping in the treetops, while a short stroll to the nearby private wildflower meadow is ideal for picnics. There are walks from the door leading directly onto Offa’s Dyke Path, and there’s even a pair of binoculars and a wildlife camera which captures night time visitors including fallow deer, badgers, rabbits and foxes.
