Bridal designer Ellie Lowe reveals what brides are wanting for their weddings throughout 2020.
Ellie works from her elegant studio nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds and specialises in hand-made wedding dresses. She has more than 20 years experience and carries out all fittings herself. Brides can choose an off-the-peg design of hers with alterations available, or work with Ellie to create a beautifully bespoke gown.
"My best-sellers this wedding season have been a soft fishtail shape made from crepe silk satin with a French lace overlay on top and three-quarter sleeves, and this strapless sweetheart neckline with a sweeping train," Ellie tells us.
"For 2020, the timeless beauty of the Art Deco era has never gone out of fashion. Hand-finished dresses made using exquisite fabrics best reflect this look."
Ellie is seeing brides picking styles that are elegant and figure-hugging, with lace or tulle covering most of the dress instead of just sections.
Our silks, lace and tulles are sourced from British suppliers and represent the finest on the market, she says.
