Llanthony Secunda Priory

Llanthony Secunda Priory is situated just a short walk from Gloucester Docks and Gloucester Quays. The unique city-centre location offers a variety of nearby accommodation options within easy walking distance of the venue. Bursting with character and history, the medieval ruins and beautifully restored Grade 1 listed buildings are set within five acres of picturesque grounds. The Victorian Farmhouse, cattle pond, grassy lawns and veteran trees create a beautiful backdrop for weddings and big-day photographs and with its scenic location alongside the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal, couples have the option to arrive by boat. This exclusive-use, dry-hire wedding venue provides the perfect option for couples who wish to create a personal day. The flexible and intimate spaces are brimming with character and history and can cater for a simple ceremony, a vintage-style afternoon tea or a glamorous wedding reception.

Ceremonies take place in The Lady Margaret Hall beneath a beautiful timber-framed roof that has been recently restored using traditional techniques. With high ceilings and full-length medieval windows allowing daylight to pour in, the hall has a spacious and historical feel. It offers a treasure trove of photo opportunities and can host up to 60 loved ones for ceremonies, the wedding breakfast and drinks receptions. Additional features are wireless speakers, full ventilation and underfloor heating, a platform lift to the first floor, an accessible toilet and Wi-Fi.

For the wedding breakfast, it can hold up to ten 5ft round tables with two rectangular tables plus 60 upholstered dining chairs. An easel for the table plan is provided plus a cake stand and knife and table number stands.

Receptions take place in The Henry Dene Hall, a Grade I listed Tudor brick building that has been lovingly restored with high ceilings flooding the space with natural daylight. It’s the largest and most flexible self-contained event space in the venue hosting up to 80 guests for ceremonies, the wedding breakfast and the seated reception. For standing receptions and the evening disco, it can welcome up to 140 guests. It benefits from an integrated PA system with a handheld microphone, full ventilation and heating, roof lights with remote control blinds and Wi-Fi.

For the wedding breakfast, it can hold up to ten 5ft round tables, two rectangular tables and up to 80 upholstered dining chairs. Again, an easel and cake stand can be provided.

Decléor harness the power of green mandarin

Green mandarin essential oil is packed with antioxidants and is known for its rejuvenating and brightening properties. It leaves dull skin looking luminous and radiant, perfect for reviving your complexion and bringing a gorgeous glow to it. That's why the clever folk at Decléor have harnessed its power to create its Green Mandarin Glowing Collection. The new range features Aromanessence Green Mandarin (£56), Green Mandarin Vitamin Glow Day Cream (£60.50), and Green Mandarin Glow Night Balm (£50.50). But, I've fallen in particular for the Green Mandarin Aromaplastie Glow Booster Mask (£37), which is designed to boost radiance and revitalise the complexion. A potent treatment that brightens and energises dull and tired-looking skin, offers the ideal pre-wedding boost. Find it at www.facethefuture.co.uk
