June/July 2020

I am fortunate enough to travel extensively with my job and for my holidays. When I flew back from Miami in January this year, having enjoyed all the sights that this American hotspot has to offer, if somebody had told me it would be the last flight I would take in a while, I wouldn’t have believed them. Fast forward a few months and, as I type, travel plans, along with other plans, have been put on hold for us all and are only just starting to lift.

I hope those of you who are having to postpone your weddings and honeymoons are, firstly, staying healthy. Secondly, this time will pass and we will come out the other side so use it as a time to plan your wedding and trip in even more detail. Maybe there are things you’d like to add to your day (our venue styling and transport ideas in this issue will help) or further information you wanted to research about your chosen destination (our honeymoon features will certainly inspire you).

As well as keeping you up-to-date with all things wedding-related in our summery new issue and online at www.yourgloswilts.wedding, I also will be looking on Insta, planning my next holiday to Miami!

Until next issue...

Manor by the Lake

This award-winning, exclusive-use Victorian manor house is nestled in seven acres of grounds in the heart of the Cotswold countryside. It’s steeped in history and bursting with character, and the spectacular grounds offer outdoor options for wedding ceremonies including the Italian Pavilion situated next to the manor house, and the Lakeside Pavilion framed by immaculate gardens. There’s also the dramatic Manor Arches that’s a licensed setting which also makes a great photographic backdrop.

Receptions take place in a choice of rooms inside the manor including in the beautiful Ballroom that opens out on to the lake and gardens for up to 250 guests. It’s a light and bright space and is home to a large bar, stage and dancefloor.
