Those of you planning a wedding this summer don’t have to wait much longer. In my opinion, this is the best time of year to be getting married, especially in Wiltshire or Gloucestershire with all that these picturesque regions have to offer. From a festival-style real wedding (page 41) to a cool selection of tipis and yurts available to hire (page 23), weddings here can be as informal (or traditional) as you want.

The Manor Barn
This converted wedding and events venue in the heart of Wiltshire is a privately owned property located on the edge of the Stonehenge World Heritage Site. Set in the grounds of a 17th-century manor house, the barn has been restored to the highest standard and offers three-day exclusive hire for weddings with a flexible and personal approach.
Civil ceremonies take place in the Manor House Billiard Room for up to 50 loved ones, in The Mill for up to 75, outside in the grounds for up to 150 guests and in The Stables for up to 120. The Stables also accommodates up to 120 loved ones seated for the wedding breakfast and up to 200 people in the evening for the reception.
