December/January 2020/2021

I love this time of year, not only because I am a magpie who loves anything that sparkles, but because it’s an opportunity for me to create a magazine full of seasonal splendour! If you’re putting the finishing touches to a micro wedding this winter then our hot topic feature offers plenty of tips. For those planning a larger affair next Christmas then our venue section is a must-read. It’s always fun for me to compile our end-of-year issue so I asked some of my favourite wedding photographers in both regions to send me their favourite wintry real weddings crammed full of fab festive ideas - you’ll love the outcome!

There’s also glittery accessories, fairytale wedding dresses, fashionable groomswear and big-day beauty, along with much more, so I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did compiling it, and I’ll see you next year.

Until then...

Elmore Court

This award-winning wedding and events venue is a 13th-century, Grade II listed country house set in stunning surroundings boasting panoramic vistas across the River Severn.

Recent developments include the walled garden that forms part of the estate having been restored to its original working-produce garden and dishes are prepared by head chef Matt Greene created using ingredients sourced straight from the garden.

Ceremonies take place in a variety of areas in the main house including in the hall. Dinner and dancing are enjoyed in The Gillyflower, a romantic event space in a separate building located in the grounds draped in fairylights and home to a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system. Festive celebrations can enjoy a Christmas theme and the entire estate looks magical snow-capped during winter.
