There’s something magical about this time of the year, and it’s the build-up to Christmas, the three days themselves and then the anticipation of the new year ahead. I love pottering around the shops, getting presents for my loved ones and cute decorations for my flat. I look forward to a traditional turkey dinner with my family (cooked to perfection by my mum) and then sitting around the fire afterwards, opening presents, drinking mulled wine and feasting on her homemade cake. Traditional and comforting, Xmas brings with it lots of love and joy for me, and it always has done since I was a child. It’s my favourite time of every year.
If you’re planning a festive wedding, then no doubt you’ll be looking for merry ways of incorporating lots of lovely details. This has been the inspiration for my shopping buys this issue, from a beauty advent calendar that counts down to the big day and boasts cute decorations to personalised wine bottles for the tables and even a Ginettonne! If you already have everything planned, then these will make last-minute gift ideas for your loved ones.
So I wish you a very jolly holiday season, and for those of you not getting married just yet, we will be back with another bumper issue in early 2019.

Blunsdon House Hotel
This independent, family-owned four-star hotel is set in 30 acres of stunning Wiltshire countryside in the village of Broad Blunsdon, just seven miles from the M4 and even closer to the town centre. It boasts 108 bedrooms, two restaurants, three bars, 11 meeting rooms and a leisure club with an indoor pool.
Civil ceremonies take place in a choice of seven function rooms designed for both intimate nuptials and larger celebrations, from two to 200 guests. Smaller parties best suit Zan’s Lounge, while The Garden Room holds up to 200 loved ones. Tawny’s and The Pippin Gazebo hold between 60 and 120 people. There’s also the Redwood Room and Beech Room each holding up to 60 guests.
The Garden Room accommodates the wedding breakfast and evening reception, while Tawny’s is a fairytale setting complete with a glass curtain wall that opens up on to a private patio, holding up to 120 guests. For the evening party, Tawny’s can be used in conjunction with Zan’s Bar, a cosy area adjacent to it.
