The Painswick Hotel
Set in the ‘Queen of the Cotswolds’ village of Painswick is this elegant hideaway – a retreat in an idyllic part of England where honey-coloured stone villages and sweeping views are the norm. Sixteen individually designed bedrooms are housed here, boasting luxurious bathrooms with roll top baths, and romantic rolling views over the Painswick Valley and beyond. The George’s Suite is the ideal choice for the first night as the new Mr & Mrs featuring a four-poster bed, sitting room, log burner and balcony. There are a pair of treatment rooms by Calcot Spa that enjoy an Elemis menu for some rest and relaxation and help is on hand planning a wedding, with each one being treated as a one-of-a-kind celebration.
Couples can say ‘I do’ in The Morley Horder lounge surrounded by an intimate gathering of 24, or outside on the Italianate terrace surrounded by a larger party of loved ones. The Restaurant at The Painswick also has a ceremony licence and can seat up to 60 people for dinner. Food is very much at the heart of the house and couples can also consider afternoon tea out on the terrace or private dining in The Clutterbucks, a room seating up to 14 loved ones for an intimate post-vow dinner.
